“It is not my intention to be fulsome, but I confess that I covet your skull.”

Arthur Conan Doyle, The Hound of the Baskervilles (1902)

This project was aimed to have a story told through a symbol. I chose the symbol of a skull, and wove a timeline from the birth of recorded history to the modern era using the skull as a link through the ages.

For the visual aspect of this assignment, we were tasked to create an infographic that organized the research we gathered. I drew inspiration from Philadelphia’s Mütter Museum and their famous Hyrtl Skull Collection; a cabinet of curiosity style curation which houses over 130 human skulls.
