“I’m so adaptable, I’m almost like a chameleon. And I like to do a variety of things- listen to opera, cook a gourmet meal, ski, camp, sail, swim, and once in a while, just relax.”

Over the course of my winter semester Junior year, I took a letterpress printing class. I feel that it helped open my eyes to how design was done pre-computer. Montserrat has a collection of led printing type, woodcut illustrations, as well as a few different types of printing presses and a risograph machine.
I loved this class. It was a small group, and we were encouraged to use humor, vulgarity, and push boundaries to make both visually and conceptually interesting pieces. Many of the work I did in this class were also produced in series, so I was able to save some work and give some original art away.
