Leave for her a red young rose,
Go your way, and save your pity;
She is happy, for she knows
That her dust is very pretty.”

The Epitaph of Dorothy Parker, (2021)

The goal for this project was to make a set of icons with a clear set theme. As you can see, I chose iconography commonly found on gravestones in New England between the 17th and 19th centuries. These symbols include the Death’s Head, the Angel, the Urn and Willow, the Anchor, and the Hand of God.

These icons were created in Adobe Illustrator, and demonstrate the importance of positive and negative space in flat 1-color designs.
